The most important part. KidRun helps you organize, but it isn't a safety or childcare service. Reminders, notifications, Live Activities and the Picked Up status can be late, missing or wrong. You're always responsible for knowing where your children are and who's picking them up.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Lion Code d.o.o., Mladena Kerstnera 42, 10410 Velika Gorica, Croatia ("Lion Code", "we", "us"), for the KidRun iPhone app and the kidrun.app website.
Your license to use KidRun is granted under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). These terms add to the Standard EULA. If they conflict, the Standard EULA applies.
By downloading or using KidRun, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use KidRun.
2. Who can use KidRun
KidRun is for parents, guardians and other adults who organize children's schedules. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live.
3. The app
KidRun is currently free. We may add, change or remove features, including adding optional paid features. If we do, we'll tell you clearly before you pay for anything.
KidRun runs on iPhone with a supported version of iOS. Syncing and sharing need an iCloud account and an internet connection.
4. Not a safety service
KidRun is a tool to plan and share a family schedule. It doesn't monitor, locate or protect children. Specifically:
- Reminders, notifications and Live Activities depend on your iPhone's settings, Focus modes, battery, network and Apple's services. They may arrive late or not at all.
- I'm On It and Picked Up are messages between family members. They're only as accurate as the people who tap them, and they need an internet connection, iCloud and Apple's push notifications to reach the other iPhone.
- Times and places in KidRun are only as accurate as the information you enter.
Don't rely on KidRun as your only way to arrange or confirm a pickup. If you're unsure, call or message the other person directly.
5. Your content
Everything you enter in KidRun belongs to you. We don't receive it, so we don't claim any rights to it. You're responsible for what you enter, and for making sure you're allowed to add information about other people, such as your partner and your children.
When you share your family, everyone who joins can see and change everything in it. Only invite people you trust.
6. iCloud and Apple services
KidRun stores and syncs data with Apple's iCloud. Apple's terms and privacy policy apply to iCloud. We don't control iCloud and aren't responsible for its outages, storage limits or data loss. If your iCloud storage is full, changes can't sync until you free up space.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use KidRun to break the law, to harass anyone, or to store information about people without the right to do so. Don't copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app, except where the law allows it.
8. Our intellectual property
KidRun, its name, icon, design and code belong to Lion Code. These terms don't give you any rights to them beyond using the app as described here and in the Standard EULA.
9. No warranty
To the extent the law allows, KidRun is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Lion Code isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of KidRun or your inability to use it. This includes missed or late pickups, missed activities and problems caused by notifications, iCloud or your device. Our total liability for any claim relating to KidRun is limited to the amount you paid us for KidRun in the 12 months before the claim, or EUR 50, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for gross negligence or intent, or any other liability that can't be limited under applicable law. If you're a consumer, you keep all the rights that the law of your country of residence gives you and that can't be waived by contract.
11. Apple
These terms are between you and Lion Code, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for KidRun or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and isn't responsible for handling any claims relating to it, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection claims, or intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
12. Ending use
You can stop using KidRun at any time by deleting it. See the privacy policy for how to delete your data. We may stop offering KidRun, and if we do we'll try to give reasonable notice so you can make other arrangements.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Disputes go to the competent court at Lion Code's registered seat in Croatia. If you're a consumer, this doesn't take away the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence or your right to bring a claim in your local courts.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or in the App Store release notes. If you keep using KidRun after a change, the new terms apply.
